Visual codes: Close up camera shots of drained facial expressions, this instantly shows the characters general mood (in this case tired). Clothing gives you a look on the situation they are in. In this the main character is dressed in the clothes from the night before. This shows that he has only just got up and is to tired to even get ready. 

Technical codes: Lighting shows the general mood quickly, eg dark lighting is a gloomy sad mood. In this show the lighting quickly changes from light to dark, this shows the contrast between the morning and the night before. Camera angle were looking down on the main character when he was crying shows they're looking down on the character when he was acting stupid to portray we as viewers are better than him. Mise en scene is the morning after a party with flahsbacks of the party the night before. This informs you on the situation they are in.
Audio codes: There is a digetic sound when the main character is listening to music on his headphones, because you hear his music it puts you in the characters position. Non digetic sound at the start, a steady build of music. This creates tension and slowly builds it up.
